Cheese Ball Recipe

When I lived in Beechview a suburb of Pittsburgh, I acquired this wonderful cheese ball recipe. I have handed this and shared this over the year. I thought I would do that today in case you want to try something new and quite easy to make.

Homemade Cheese Ball by Mary

2 – 8oz. cream cheese softened
2 cups shredded extra sharp Cheddar Cheese (16oz) Aldi Brand
1 Tbsp chopped pimentos
1 Tbsp chopped green peppers
1 Tbsp chopped onions or scallions
1 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice or lime juice
dash salt and pepper

Directions: Mix all ingredients, then chill before shaping.
Roll in bacon bits or nuts such as silvered almonds or walnuts

I squeezed out pimentos out of green olives sometimes if I can’t find a jar of pimentos, cut them up into small pieces. (right now Sav-alot has pimentos in small jar for $1.99)
It makes a great gift for Christmas or New Year.  It is sure to please!
