What would be your ideal fantasy way to spend Monday? Stay home and work on family history without any interruptions.or take the weekend and go visit someone in Pennsylvania.

What one person that you are out of contact with would you like to say thank you to?  I usually say thank you so I can’t really think of anyone at this time.

List your favorite toys or games as a kid? A Service Station, Picture Dominoes, Chinese Checkers, tiddly winks. I actually still have my dominoes and I did not realize they came from England. Plus I still have my Chinese Checkers board. We use to do puzzles a lot too. This has come in handy cause it helps me think out of the box when helping others locate genealogical information.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? I could not believe how nice my boss has been towards me. We had day last week that the snow was coming down pretty fast so I left early from work. Beings I am out of time, she allowed me to make the time up on Monday,

{which was not normal for her to do} I was very shocked. There was winter snow storm on Monday of this week and the town I work in got dumped 8 inches. I decided not to leave that day, I was hoping that the plows would be out. Not. So I drove home in snowy weather driving 40 miles an  hour due to the precipitation and the main highway was not plowed nor the secondary roads. One could not see the yellow line in the middle nor where the side of the road started or ended. Some parts of the road I drove down the middle of the road until on coming traffic came. Which was far between. Two people asked me to call them when I got home.

Oh, the other thing was I had to stop three times before getting out of town as my  windshield wipers had ice and then I could not see out of the window. I stopped where some folks were shoveling out their driveway and asked if they could assist me, the man had bottle of deicer and told me to keep it as I would probably have to stop again. Instead I kept my defroster on  high that the cabin was almost unbearable but I didn’t want to have cloudy front windshield so kept the heat going till I got home.  What a night.

  1. I hear ya! Driving in bad weather is horrible! White knuckling it all the way, hands gripping the steering wheel, heart racing…I really think employers should be more accepting in these cases.
