My attempt

I made these flower arrangements for church yesterday. I was asked to make them, I was kind of dragging me feet. But then I went to Hobby Lobby, as they had a 50% sale on their silk flowers. So I gathered up the blue ones. I felt they were cool and comforting colors. So that went pretty well in the glass container. Someone had blessed to me recently so that was an ideal container and I put some of those colored glass pieces to keep the container from falling over.

Then I had the purple ones sitting around and gathered from my supplies. I used purple and lime green together. I think they both turned out quite well.

I don’t have any training in this art. But I have watched my grandmother for many years put together arrangements. So I am pretty good and at watching someone and then going and trying it for myself.

Christmas Country Style Silk Flower Arrangement

A Country Style Christmas Silk  Flower Arrangement.

I had just started making flower arrangements when I noticed our church still had a vase of spring flowers sitting  on the piano. I decided I would make a nice arrangement for the church services for the month of December. This is what I ended up with. I made my bow after watching a YouTube three times. Then I finally got the hang of it. I think it looks pretty good. I used Spanish moss which hangs out from the cut out stars on this container which adds to the country style of this flower arrangement.

The arrangement has large red poinsettia  pine cone sprigs, pine cones big and small, holly leaves with small red berries, silver accents, a plaid one inch ribbon was used for the bow and ribbon around the container. I sprayed the container a hunter green. The picture was taken at home before I took it to church.
